The "L" revision brings a new gold-plated L-shaped PCB with optimized signal tracks and grounding, delivering subtle but meaningful sound quality improvements over the standard MkII, while dual stainless steel shielding keeps the sensitive RIAA circuit isolated from interference. A rear-panel grounding switch helps eliminate hum in nearly any system configuration. Designed by industry veteran Touraj Moghaddam, the PHONO-1 MkII L is widely regarded as redefining what's possible from an entry-level high-end phono stage.
