As the first and only preamplifier to use the legendary directly heated 300B triode as a line driver, this all-triode design pairs the 300B with a classic 6SL7GT input stage, running entirely in pure Class A operation for a smooth, natural, organic sound with exceptional dimensional imaging. It doubles as a genuinely capable headphone amplifier, with a dedicated Class A 300B output stage and a three-position impedance selector that properly matches headphones from 30 to 4,000 ohms — a rarity among preamplifiers. Vacuum tube rectification, regulation, and an innovative ripple rejection circuit combine for an unusually quiet noise floor, letting fine micro-dynamic detail come through clearly. A wireless RF remote controls a precision motorized ALPS volume pot for smooth, convenient operation. Hand-built in California, the Neo-Classic 300B remains a cult favorite for its warm, detailed, and remarkably transparent tube sound. Shows excellent condition with no notable wear.
